• Our programs always carry a waiting list.
• New Orleans schools are performing well below state standards.


90% of students remain enrolled from the beginning through the end of the school year.
• 95% of students attend 3 or more days per week.
• Parent surveys show an average rating of 4.7 out of 5.
• Student surveys show an average rating of 4.5 out of 5.
• Participating students have made statistically significant gains in reading and math. (See July 2003 Report)
• 90% of participating 4th graders who took the LEAP in 02-03 passed.

Funding for our programs comes from government grants, private foundation grants, and individual donors.

After-School Costs:
• Cost of serving one student for entire school year is about $1500.
• There is no fee for this program.

Summer Camp Costs:
• Cost of serving one student for entire summer camp is about $1000.
• Fee is $100 for first child & $15 for each additional child with many paying less or nothing at all.
